yea hope they will fix it :(
bump. I had left the page open and computer on and it was all working for me a few hours ago but there were only 5-10 people in the queue and I thought I was blessed, then the power went out due to the storm and when I reloaded the page I got this error. I think it's related to the fact that it's trying to load "https://ilcve21-sparc3d.hf.space/?__theme=system" when maybe it should be loading "https://ilcve21-sparc3d.hf.space/?theme=system". Edit: There is some inline js on the page in the "Space app" iframe that tries to load the current url via ajax then if it's successful it reloads the iframe page, this is certainly what's causing the issue:
setInterval(function () {
let oReq = new XMLHttpRequest();
oReq.open("GET", location.href);
oReq.send();
oReq.onload = function () {
if (oReq.status === 200) {
window.location.reload();
}
};
}, 1000);
preparing space for me .... 3 days now
funny thing, the paid one doesnt seem as good to me.
I was able to use https://3dserver.hitem3d.ai/ for a while but the request to the api for actually initialising the job is now giving a 403 (forbidden). I'm not salty, it was a great ride while it lasted but all good things come to an end. The model's awesome so if I can somehow make money off the meshes I managed to get (it'll absolutely be worth paying for this Edit: maybe not), this is easily the best quality image to mesh model I've seen yet. Edit: @andrewjeremy I think you're right, I'm also a bit miffed about the options for paying. I disagree with being forced to pay a monthly subscription and then still having to buy credits on top of that. If I can't just pay for what I use then I'm going to give my money to someone whose business model doesn't rely on me paying ad infinitum for a service that I forgot to cancel, that's just a slimy way of operating imho.
Still stuck, anyone know of something similar that does as good or even better job?
Is this ever gonna be back up? also as someone who thought very highly of it I don't have an issue paying, but it needs to be not per month as Im always concerned about the difficulty in cancelling membership and being suck with monthly payments as with so many patreon I keep on forgetting i'm signed up to. Also I wanted to pay via PayPal but it wont let me use my PP credit, and only accepts cards which I dont want to use. If they just had a set price that you paid for without and subscription I would happily pay. There are simply too many things all asking for subscriptions. Also as the user posted about the company just saying they are down and I would not want to pay and not have access.
According to the message on discord you could apparently be shadow banned on https://hitem3d.ai/. Most likely based on your region.
Tried switching to a fresh device with a changed region and proxy connection - works smoothly.
so that means the "free trial" ended without any comment? I received a mail from Huggingface which said they just upgrade the server, maybe the message was fake as sparc3d isnt working anymore???
I tried the free model generation at Hitem3d, and it got stuck two times, but subtracted credits, so I am not willing to pay for this, lets wait what comes up ...
and I didnt find the discord link, how to get there?
Which countries are shadow banned? I understand the UK has a silly Safety Law that has recently come into effect, could it be something to do with that. Is there anyone out there able to tell me if they are using sparc3d in the UK? Also I have been very random with my generates, can you be banned for any particular content? I would love to know before I commit to any payment, as any for of restrictions would be a deal breaker., and only really serve to limit the capabilities of the AI. I honestly believe that is what separates Sparc or Ultra from the others. Im mainly concerned that I wont know if the hitemi page works until i buy credits and try.. and then if nothing works then I would have signed up for a service I cant access. The Demo page clearly does not run in the UK.
Same issue I am also facing
This one let me do a few yesterday so try it out but It goes straight to error today.
https://3dserver.hitem3d.ai/
IT'S OVER
So what's the deal? is it still free from other proxies or is it down? or only pay?
broo what do we do
i was on it yesterday but they patched it...
if its pay only why don't they just remove the one here? Makes no sense. Also if it is only pay version now I hope it is a better version as far as creating the model goes.
i used a few times, its alright but i dont think its as good and its kind of a gamble if your paying for it and it comes out wrong
I'm inclined to agree, the paid version does texturing but the meshes are clearly inferior to the model they were using here, the generation of the reverse side is awful in the paid version and you absolutely need the three free regenerations they give you. It's a shame, these guys have an awesome model but they are too inexperienced businesswise and they are obviously trying to do everything themselves without a good development manager. In my opinion; if they want to do a website they need to offer a suite of tools like Tripo Studio and a better pricing structure (particularly not requiring a "subscription"), if they can't do that they should just save on the overheads of managing their own site and host their model via Zero GPU like everyone else. They have so little time to capitalise here that they can't afford to be messing about learning how to run a website. Edit: Licensing is another potential path to monetisation; they could license their model out to websites and media studios, Tripo Studio's i2m generator is terrible and their offering would be much better if they used this model. They could then maintain a queued public implementation (maybe limited to the 1024 model) for hype.
Is there anything else out there that creates as good or better models? Anyone try https://www.imgto3d.ai/ ?

this is garbage, gives low detail, looks like tripo. another bunch of lousy profiteers
money grabbing as usual
Guys I think you're all being a bit harsh, and you're coming off as entitled. It's perfectly reasonable to expect money for your labour. They have no duty to provide us anything for free and for as long as they did I am appreciative. I'm not going to subscribe now because I don't agree with the business model they've gone with but I'm not going to throw a trantrum about it, maybe they'll change their business model but if they don't I still have a few hundred high quality meshes that I wouldn't have had without these guys.
BobRoberts I understand they are probably the best at creating a model from a single photo but lets me fair they are still not great at it. For example anyone that has numbers on shirt or names it doesn't do them right. If they want paid for the app shouldn't it be pretty much perfect or at least better than the free version they had? I am not talking shit about them and I can't do what they do but when you go to paid subscription price the app best be pretty damn solid.
@timester I'd argue that it only really needs to be good enough to convince enough people to pay for it to cover overheads (or look shiny enough to scam more investors), that's why shady business models are so prevalent. "Perfect" is a subjective term though, I have been modelling for almost 20 years and I use models from these services as a base from which to refine. Instead of having to start with a simple sphere I start from something very close to what I actually want, so good enough is "perfect" for me. AI will probably make it to the level of "magic" but we ain't there yet. Regarding the business model however; in my opinion it doesn't matter how solid an offering is, subscriptions have been so exploited that I just discount the offering on the basis that it's going to be a huge pain in the arse to deal with the company. Adobe has a great offering but I haven't given them any money since 2006, it takes a bit more work but work is how we become better people.
Edit: Also regarding the degradation in models; they were getting a lot of grief in the past for not having the texture generation capability. I presume that including the textures somehow took nodes away from geometry synthesis, basically you only have a limited number of nodes that are now divided between texture and geometry whereas in the old model they were all devoted to geometry. Making a bigger model is going to cost much more in infrastructure to support which would mean that their model would need to make that much more money and I bet you can guess what that would mean...
BobRoberts I guess it depends on who you are, you know modeling and I don't which is why I depend on something like this to make passable models where as you can take the model and take it to new heights. A s an amateur I can't see paying for what they offer at this point. Like you said AI isn't there yet but hopefully it isn't too far away.
@timester Totally understandable, that's why a good business model is so important, when you strip everything away the only rule of honest business is that you need to offer enough to enough people to balance the books. I don't want to sound pushy and I'm sure your life is as hectic as everyone else's but I presume you save all the meshes you generate? Blender is totally free, why not use the meshes you have as a basis for learning how to model for yourself? These meshes are great for sculpting while your Trellis and Hunyuan meshes are awesome to learn about low-poly and UV mapping. The hardest part of learning a new thing is the time it takes to get to your first positive feedback loop and with these models that can happen almost immediately.
I don't need textures, I just want the model. And to be fair this does a good job. I have regularly been inputting identical pictures and photos for analysis and have noticed instances when things actually get worse in time and updates while others get better. I feel that it has kind of settled to a particular quality now and is no longer improving as much as before, Its very dependent on the footage that you give it, its perspective and positioning of the subject, It does not deal with any form of distortion, and still struggles a bit with faces, flip flopping between realistic and freaky looking, but compared to everything else its pretty darn good. I would be tempted to buy a sub, but I need to be able to cancel quickly and easily as i don't need to use it 24 hrs a day all year round. Im going to make a video about my research in the next few days, I managed to get about 500 models of all styles drawings, photos, sketches, lineart book covers, animals, humans, robots, tech, orgnic, personal 3dwork, ai art, real art, everything and anything. These guys deserve a few bucks for their work, but they need to keep improving it.
Worked again yesterday for a bit, now the task counter just doesn't go down or goes down 1 and then goes back up. Shame.
I think someone's attacking them with a bot now, the queue is advancing, just really slowly, I've gone from 770 to 60 while I slept.
cant have anything nice without bot farmers ruining everything, we really are at the end of the internet... people ruin everything.
probably needs to put some sort of authentication process
Instead of just embedding their own page they should be integrating with huggingface, one huggingface account in the queue at a time. As it is I'm pretty sure you could just make multiple requests to the api via a proxy service. Greed ruins everything.
only 1700 more in queue, might be done by october
I'm 1600 and it's taken about 30 minutes from 1770 so I'm projecting about 7-9 hours per gen until they can block whoever's doing this...
its def moving, but it would suck if it failed
Queue is 4480. Insane.
I've only made it to 1102 after about 20 hours, I think my calculations were a bit off lol. I just hope I make it to the end before they go offline to fix it.
its crazy... sad
queue at 7000! lol.
It's over 9000!!!!! -Vegeta
I made it to generation but it's been stuck at 0% for over 2 hours so far. I'll update if it eventually works but I'm not hopeful...
