SentenceTransformer based on sentence-transformers/LaBSE

This is a sentence-transformers model finetuned from sentence-transformers/LaBSE. It maps sentences & paragraphs to a 768-dimensional dense vector space and can be used for semantic textual similarity, semantic search, paraphrase mining, text classification, clustering, and more.

Model Details

This model, FaLaBSE, was developed as part of the research paper "MetaRAG and WikiFaQA: A Co-designed Framework and Benchmark for Advancing Persian Long-Context RAG". The work introduces WikiFaQA, a new large-scale benchmark for long-context Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) in Persian. FaLaBSE is an enhanced Persian sentence encoder created by fine-tuning the powerful multilingual LaBSE model on PersianSimilarSentences, a custom-curated dataset of semantically similar Persian sentence pairs.

Usage

Direct Usage (Sentence Transformers)

First install the Sentence Transformers library:

pip install -U sentence-transformers

Then you can load this model and run inference.
