Simple question here about the choice of the name USO
Just curious about the thinking here, not a big important question:
When you came up with the name USO and the meaning etc, did you make it originally in English, or is the random letters from the full version of the name used because this originally worked as a good shortened name for the chinese version?
As in, "Unified framework for Style driven and subject-driven GeneratiOn" - Is the U, S, and O just lucky to be in the name, and in reality the original translation of the name had the letters at the beginning of each word?
Again, not a big deal, its fine even if you dont answer, i just suddenly got really curious lol <3
That's a fun question! The intuition behind the name "USO" was actually pretty simple and it was English-first.
It came from two ideas:
- We have a previous project called "UNO," and we wanted "USO" to feel like a new member of the family.
- We also decided the model would be a Unified Style-subject Optimized model.
So, the name "USO" fit perfectly, and that's how our cute "USO" was born >w<
